2/19/2023 0 Comments Little misfortune george![]() My Physicians dreaded it, and prepared me, by a milk Diet and a Course of Mercurial Preparations, till they reduced me very low before they performed the operation. ![]() This Distemper was very terrible even by Inocculation at that time. “In the Winter of 1764, the Small Pox prevailing in Boston, I went with my Brother into Town and was inocculated under the Direction of Dr. Here’s Adams’ description of the inoculation: Once however and once only we were both sick together, and then all Laughter and good Humour deserted the Room.” When my Companion was sick I laughed at him, and when I was sick he laughed at me. In preparation for the inoculation, the nine men with whom Adams shared a room were given medicines to make them vomit.Īt first, in his letters to Abigail, John made light of the experience saying, “We took turns to be sick and to laugh. Voice (which is why you see his ghost still hanging around), which prevented the father from finding some kind of 'comfort', and led the father to committing suicide(possibly the father kept seeing the same thing over and over again, haunted by his son being forced to relive his final day, because his son is never able to escape his final day).John Adams wrote in detail about his ordeal with smallpox. So I think George's son never was able to get free from Mr. Voice's game her mother never would have gotten that 'final hug' from Misfortune that would have provided her with comfort. I imagine that if she had kept playing Mr. I think, if you've completed the game you'll find out that if you put enough sparkles on things then they get gathered up and sent to Misfortune's mother. So all the kids are lead to their death by Mr. I think that showing you George served multiple purposes: clearly the father hung himself because his son was dead (as seen by the outline not far from the house outside of the rock cave, and if you finish the game you find out that Misfortune also died right near her house). Hi! I just finished the game, so I'm sorry if this is late (also spoilers) (I also noticed that there's coffee and a pastry left on the window ledge, which seems weird if you're going to hang yourself, but who am I to judge) Even though this scene isn't very long it's the one I find most intriguing in terms of its motivations. I don't know if I'm explaining myself very well because I'm kind of thinking of more questions as I write, but if anyone has any thoughts I'd be interested to hear them. But then why does the dog have a party hat? Is it even George's dog? And I'd assume that he left the dog tied to a tree so that someone else could find it and take care of it. It seems that George's father hanged himself in response to his son's death. I'm not entirely sure if George's son went through a similar experience to Misfortune where he died and then continued on under Mr Voice's guidence thinking he was still alive and searching for eternal happiness (as I assume the child-sized outline near the rocks outside the cave is where he died) or whether he didn't encounter Mr Voice at all. (I've actually wondered if George is the name of the kid rather than the father, but the consensus seems to be that it's the father's name) If Mr Voice knew that the dog belonged to someone called George and also knew where George lived, it would be strange if he didn't know that.
